Getting Ready

The days are flying as I get prepared to head to Quantico next week.  It seems like just yesterday that it was months away, and now I am down to just days.  The best way I can describe the feeling is that of getting prepared for my freshman year of college....not knowing exactly what to expect.  I have been fortunate enough to meet the others from Minnesota (Steve and Julie) who will be going out, so there will be at least a couple of familiar faces.  I also had a chance to have conversations with several recent NA graduates, which was very valuable.  Seems like the uneasiness with the unexpected is a very common feeling.  From what I've been told, the first week or two will be the toughest as I won't know many others yet and there are a lot of orientation matters that take up a lot of time.  With all that said, I am very much looking forward to the entire experience.
